Empowering Young Entrepreneurs: The SparkNJ Conference aims to inspire students in high schools across New Jersey to pursue their own businesses. Our goal is to provide the youth with the information, resources, and tools they need to develop their ideas into viable enterprises. We aim to motivate a new generation of self-assured and socially conscious entrepreneurs by encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills. Our conference provides students with a vibrant platform to persuasively present their ideas to investors and industry leaders while establishing priceless relationships that will accelerate their entrepreneurial journeys. Through the power of entrepreneurship, SparkNJ is dedicated to creating a dynamic ecosystem that fosters innovation while providing a platform to positively impact society.
What is SparkNJ?
SparkNJ is a conference hosted by students from the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District. Through a common passion for entrepreneurship, 17 students came together to host a conference for high school entrepreneurs to work together and create ideas, while learning valuable entrepreneurship concepts for the future. By partaking in this competition, students will learn various business and entrepreneurship related concepts, as well as gaining valuable public speaking and presentational skills.
Benefits for the Participants
There will be monetary prizes for the top three teams in the competition, as well as beneficial connections formed with other groups, keynote speakers, and workshop presenters. The judges will also provide all participants with insightful feedback after the conference to enhance each group’s understanding of the entrepreneurship concepts, further develop their content for future competitions, and consider all aspects of their product that they may face challenges with during future development. All winners will also be provided mentorship from dynamic and esteemed entrepreneurship advisors/professors worldwide, giving them an upper hand when participating in competitions such as the Blue Ocean Competition, the SAGE Global Competition, and more.
